  • Under the 13th Five Year Plan, the Central government promoted the philosophy of“Lucid Waters and Lush Mountains are Invaluable Assets” (綠水青山就是金山銀山), accelerated the building of a “beautiful China” and the increase of the national target ratio of urban household waste treatment via incineration. With this favourable national policy, Canvest has expanded its WTE business rapidly since listing. Currently, the Group’s WTE projects are located in Guangdong Province, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Guizhou Province, Jiangxi Province, Sichuan Province, Shandong Province, Shanxi Province, Hebei Province, Yunnan Province, Heilongjiang Province, Jiangsu Province, Liaoning Province and Shanghai Municipality, and the daily MSW processing capacity of all the operating, secured and announced projects is around 50,000 tonnes.

In recent years, Canvest adhered to market development trend and successfully expanded our business along the value chain. The Group expanded along the value chain to upstream cleaning and waste management in Hong Kong and China, including acquiring equity interests in Johnson Cleaning Services Company Limited, a well-established cleaning and waste management service company in Hong Kong, becoming the second largest shareholder of Johnson. The Group also cooperated with other business partners and expanded along the value chain to downstream fly ash and bottom ash treatment service, laying a fortified foundation for Canvest to become a solution provider for integrated environmental protection and sanitation in China.

  • Canvest will continue to expand the business, and at the same time, we will keep our commitment to raise environmental protection awareness of the society. Canvest Environmental Protection Theme Pavilion, one of the largest pavilions with environmental themes in China, was opened in June 2018. The pavilion serves as an interactive platform for government bodies, environmental organisations, corporates and the general public to exchange green development ideas.

We are committed to the corporate philosophy to “unite as one, work meticulously and strive for excellence” to achieve sustainable growth and maximize the returns for stakeholders.
