  • Canvest Environmental Protection Group Company Limited (“Canvest”, stock code: 1381) was listed on the Main Board of Hong Kong Stock Exchange in December 2014. We are a leading waste-to-energy (“WTE”) enterprise in China with market capitalization over HK$10 billion. Our main business focuses include build, design and operate WTE plants, and we also acquire and upgrade WTE projects to achieve optimal performance.

Since January 2015, Canvest has been a constituent of Hang Seng Infrastructure Index, Hang Seng Global Composite Index, Hang Seng Composite Index, Hang Seng Composite Industry Index – Utilities and Hang Seng Composite SmallCap Index. Since December 2016, Canvest has been one of the eligible stocks for Southbound trading through Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect. Canvest was named one of “China’s Most Promising Listed Companies” by Forbes China in 2017.

  • Under the 13th Five Year Plan, the Central government promoted the philosophy of“Lucid Waters and Lush Mountains are Invaluable Assets” (綠水青山就是金山銀山) and committed to build a “beautiful China”. The national target ratio of urban household waste treatment via incineration was raised from 31% in 2015 to 54% by 2020. With this favourable national policy, Canvest has expanded its WTE business rapidly since listing. Currently, we have 22 WTE projects, with presence in Guangdong Province, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Guizhou Province, Jiangxi Province, Sichuan Province, Shandong Province, Shangxi Province and Hebei Province, and the daily MSW processing capacity of all the operating, secured and announced projects has reached 32,440 tonnes.

In 2018, Canvest successfully expanded our business along the value chain. We acquired 41% equity interest in Johnson Cleaning Services Company Limited, a well-established cleaning and waste management service company in Hong Kong, acquired 100% equity interest in Dongguan City Lujia Environmental Resources Investment Company Limited, which indirectly holds 35% of the right to the first fly ash landfill project in Dongguan city and also acquired 100% equity interest in Open Mind Global Limited, which indirectly holds 40% equity interest in Huizhou City Zhongzhou Environmental Resources Company (principally engaged in the treatment of bottom ash created from the incineration of waste in the PRC). These important acquisitions laid a fortified foundation for Canvest to become a solution provider for integrated environmental protection and sanitation in China.

  • Canvest will continue to expand our WTE portfolio and seize new business opportunities, and at the same time, we will keep our commitment to raise environmental protection awareness in society. Canvest Environmental Protection Theme Pavilion, one of the largest pavilions with environmental themes in China, was opened in June 2018. The pavilion will serve as an interactive platform for government bodies, environmental organisations, corporates and the general public to exchange green development ideas.

We are committed to our corporate philosophy to “unite as one, work meticulously and strive for excellence” to achieve sustainable growth and maximize returns for shareholders.
